Yesterday, Kayla invited Peanut and me over to her house for a little playdate. While our boys (who are only two weeks apart) played, Kayla and I talked. This girl is seriously a kindred spirit -- we laughed, we cried (only a little bit), we ranted and commiserated, we shared personal things, and we shared embarrassing things. It takes a true friend to get all those things out of me, and she definitely does it.

And while we talked, she let me weed through her Goodwill box and steal all her old, unwanted clothing, which was basically a goldmine of items waiting to be refashioned. (In fact, I found the PERFECT dress to wear to Philip's upcoming company holiday party...I'm so excited!).

And all the while, she never even once made fun of me for wearing this crazy polka dot on polka dot outfit.

Now that's a true friend.
