Sew and Tell (Part 5)

Sorry for the little Sew and Tell break...but we're back with the rest of the reader submissions! 

First up we have Anna Rose from The How To Gal with three fun projects! Her first is this darling maxi skirt, and you can see her tutorial for it here.

And finally, she made this darling dress for her daughter from a little girls shirt and a women's skirt! She blogged about it here.

Next up is Dana from No Lack Of Color. She used my polka dot tee tutorial to make her daughter a glittery pink polka dot onesie, and then went even further with a cute little Harry Potter themed onesie, which she gave as a gift. She blogged about it here.

Hannah, from Pearls and Scissors, took one of her grandmothers old shirts and shortened the sleeves, took out the collar, and took in the sides. It looks so cute, and the details on that shirt are so cool -- you can see them better in the photos in her post here. 

Dana from Flaunt My Style refashioned this skirt, and then put together an Anne of Green Gable outfit -- and who doesn't love Anne Shirley? 

With my tulip hem tunic tutorial, Rachel, of Her Threaded Needle, made this darling top to show off her baby bump. 

Brianna, from Peters Posts, did four fun projects. The first is this darling striped maxi dress. She posted about it here, with several different ways of remixing it. 

Next, she made this darling halloween decoration, which she blogged about (with a tutorial) here.

Using a skirt she owned as a pattern, she made this pretty pencil skirt from scratch! Awesome job! She blogged about it here.

And finally, she made these fun curtains for her apartment. Her tutorial for it is right here.

Kilee, from One Little Momma, found a pair of Dolce Vida booties that she loved, but were more than she wanted to spend. With a little DIY magic, she made an almost identical pair with some cheap Target booties. Amazing, right? She blogged about them here, complete with a tutorial so you can do it too.

Sew and Tell (Part 4)

Today is Part Four of Sew and Tell. Because of the overwhelming response, I'll be doing a few more weeks of features (rather than my original plan of two), so watch for more posts over the next few weeks!  I so appreciate every one of you sending your projects in, and hope you'll enjoy checking out everyone else's projects!

First up is Annie from Adam and Annie. She bought this dress at Plato's Closet for a steal, then added some length to the hem and took in the sides to make it a perfect fit. She blogged about here (where you can see the before, and a fun remix with another skirt!)

Annie's second project was this button up refashion. It was an old shirt her mom was about to throw out, but a few seams gave it new life and fits her perfectly! She blogged about it here.

Annie's third refashion was making these old jeans into skinny jeans. You know how I love to do that! She blogged about it here. Nice job on all three, Annie!

Lauren, from Life in Every Word, made this dress based on a designer dress she found and loved. Such a cool idea, and it turned out great! You can see her blog post about it here.

Lauren's second project was this pretty breezy elastic waisted skirt. Perfect for a day at the beach! (pretty sure I should make myself some of these since I'll be spending way more time at the beach these days!)

And Lauren's third project was this dolman sleeved top. You know I love those too! Great job, Lauren!

Bonnie from Bonnie's Projects found this chunky sweater at goodwill and refashioned it into a cozy pillow. So fun! She blogged about it here.

Lindsay, from Domesticated Working Woman, made this cute black and white striped skirt using my pencil skirt tutorial. It turned out so great! She blogged about it here.

And finally, Jacinda, from Yellow Cloth, shared three fun projects. Her first was this darling reversible skirt. She blogged about it with a full tutorial here.

Jacinda's second project was this pretty maxi skirt with pleats in the front. She has a full tutorial for it here!

And her final project was this tote that she calls the "Slim Satchel." The fabric is fabulous, and the satchel is so cute -- I might be making myself one of these soon! Her tutorial is right here.

Sew and Tell (Part 3)

Today is Part Three of Sew and Tell. First up, Brittany of The Crafted Cure. I'm dying over this refashion of striped dress to chevron pillow. So pretty, and so creative! She blogged about it here with a full tutorial. 

Marjorie, of Piso Fashion, took a plain white button up top and refashioned it into a fun and sexy top with sequins and cut out shoulders! She blogged about her process here.

 Shea, who blogs over at dpveen, refashioned an old t-shirt by adding some beautiful lace cutouts in the sleeves. I'm pretty sure I need to do this with some of my old shirts! She blogged about her process here.

 Shea also upgraded these simple dishtowels by adding some pretty fabric. A really easy DIY, and so cute! She blogged about it here.

Kayla, of See Kayla Go, upgraded a thrifted sweater by adding some leather shoulder detailing. Such an easy way to elevate a simple sweater! She also used my t-shirt skinnification tutorial to take in the sleeves and make the sweater fit just a little bit better. She blogged about her project here.

Emily, from Sewing Machines and Crafting Routines, made this gorgeous black lace dress. Considering she'd never sewn anything with lace before, and made up her own pattern, this is majorly impressive! She blogged about it here.

Kate, from Broken and Beautiful, sent in three of her projects. First up, she refashioned her daughters old shirt, turning it into a darling little ruffled dress. The best part is that she didn't spend a penny because the ruffle fabric was from an old pair of pajama pants! She blogged about it here.

And Kate's final project was this t-shirt refashion. She picked up a large t-shirt from Goodwill and altered it to fit her perfectly! She blogged about it here.

Leah, of Hopefuleah took an old and unflattering top (but with pretty detailing), and cut out the pretty detailing to make a statement necklace. She blogged about her refashion here. SO creative, and I love how pretty the necklace is! (oh, and the ribbon she used for the necklace has a special meaning -- read about it on her blog -- which makes this project even cooler!)

Michelle, from My Happy Little Life, sent in four fun projects. The first is these adorable matching skirts she made for her and her daughter. So darling! You can see her post about it here.

Michelle's second project is a darling little bow tie she whipped up for her little boy. Love the plaid!

Michelle's third project was this little matching shorts and tie set for her little boy. She blogged about it here.

And Michelle's final project was this outfit. She made the skirt, and refashioned the cardigan by adding doily pockets. You can see her post about it here. Great job, Michelle!

Stefanie, of Can of Kornelson, sparked the idea for Sew and Tell when she emailed me a picture of a dress she made based on two of my tutorials. She later sent me two more projects, so I have three of her projects to feature today, all of which I love. The first is a mix between my dolman sleeve top and my tunic tutorials. Don't you love that chevron fabric? And so cute paired with the patterned tights.

Stefanie's second project is a jersey pencil skirt she made using my jersey pencil skirt tutorial. So cute!

Stefanie's last project was a t-shirt skinnification she made using my tutorial here. She also added a detachable peter pan color to give the simple black tee a pop of color and a little visual interest. Such a fun addition!

Sarah, from Random Thoughts and Feelings, took a stab at shirt making, and made this darling oversized sweater. Her tutorial and post about it is right here.

Dresden, from Dresden Carrie, had a cute oatmeal cardigan, and when it got a stain, she refashioned it with a little dye and it's as good as new (also, now in a gorgeous color!). 

Martha, from The Simple Things, used some old unused t-shirts, and some hand-me-down fabric to make herself two new dresses! Don't you love the lengths she chose? The maxi is my favorite. You can see her blog post about it here. 

Danni (or Dindin), of Dindin Does, made this pretty dolman sleeve top after wearing her Forever 21 dolman top to death (a girl after my own heart!). She made her own tutorial, which you can see right here. (also, I have my own dolman sleeve tutorial here, which is fairly similar to hers). 

Erin, from Erin Brouillette, shared four of her projects. The first of hers is this cute ruffled t-shirt embellishment. It's been forever since I've done some good t-shirt embellishing, so it was fun to see her take on it! You can see her post about it here.
