Do any of you still follow that silly rule about no white jeans after Labor Day? If you do, it's time you stopped. My white jeans are one of my most comfortable and versatile pairs of pants in my closet, so there's no way I'm putting them away for the next nine months until summer rolls around again.
The key to wearing your white jeans after Labor Day is wearing them so they are Fall and Winter appropriate, so it makes sense to be wearing them (the same applies to any light colored pants). Here's a few tips to wearing them well all Fall and Winter:
1. Layer, Layer, Layer
During the summer, a lightweight tee or tank is perfect with your white jeans. So during the Fall and Winter, try the opposite and throw on a bunch of layers. A jacket, scarves, boots, socks -- they're all good choices that will instantly make your jeans feel cool-weather appropriate.

2. Classic Black and White
Adding accents of black with white jeans instantly gives your jeans less of a summery look. Since it's still scorching hot during September here in Southern California, I went with black ankle boots, a white blouse, and a black bag, but as it cools down they'll be perfect with a black leather jacket, winter coat, or sweater!

3. Contrast
Keep those jeans from feeling summery by pairing them with pieces that are super winter-y -- a cable knit pullover sweater, over the knee boots, or a knitted beanie with a pom-pom are all good examples. Here I paired mine with a wool poncho and ankle boots for a cozy feel that would be perfectly appropriate for cold weather!
